After effects | Distribution and Production Company

Film4 is a British production company known for producing and co-producing films. We have chose to work with film4 because they tend to produce a lower budget or independent films. This meant that it would fit into our criteria as our film is very low budget as

and independent based on less technology that we provide them. Film4 produce a movie such as Slumdog Millionaire and Trance that aim for a niche audience. We also aim for a niche audience as well so this meant that Film4 would be appropriate for us. Film4 also has their own Digital TV channel, airing movies. They tend to air film which they have produced and co-produce which means that later on when our film has been develop and play in box offices it can be also aired on their channel.


For our distribution company we've chosen to team up with Studio Canal, as the company which would distribute our movie. Studio Canal is a French based distribution and production company, known for focusing on French and European productions. British movie such as Johnny English and Love Actually all have been part of Studio Canal work. This then fits in with our movie as we're a low budget movie wanting to capture the British audience firstly. They also have strong link with Universal Studio which also act as a advantage to us as if our movie gets good review we could then advance to a international audience through the connection that Studio Canal has with Universal Studios.
